Political Insight’s Senior advisor Rob Wilson was quoted on the front page of the Telegraph on 1st June 2021. Under the headline ‘Charities urged to make chiefs’ pay easier to find online,’ Rob, a former minister for civil society, with responsibility for charities, said some large organisations have an “arrogance” that they are doing good work and above reproach but said the findings must be a “call to action” to address “fat cat” pay. In a separate article for the Telegraph, Rob also called on the Government to carry out a review of salary figures and “amend legislation to make salary disclosure by all charities with an income over £500,000 mandatory on their web site and in their annual report”. All those paying more than £150,000 a year must publicly explain why because “the public’s goodwill is not inexhaustible”, he said.
